We have an absolutely beautiful Chevrolet Woody for sale. It isn't often an opportunity comes around to own a totally original 60 year old beloved classic like this incredibly rare 1947 Chevrolet Fleetmaster Woody Wagon with just 38K original miles! The first owner bought new and owned until 1978.
When sold to the second owner, the car had just 30K miles on it! The second owner kept it until 2006 and sold with only 37,800K miles. This car has been so beautifully preserved it is mind boggling! The wood is absolutely solid with no termite damage or rot anywhere! The body is 100% rust-free in the truest sense.
The floors, frame, engine and undercarriage are immaculate. The bottom of this rare Woodie has never seen the likes of a rattle can. Simply amazing. I only hope I look this good after 60 years!
Every item on this car works exactly as it should, the only exception being the dome lamp. It is loaded with options such as a Fulton Sunshield Company windshield visor, front bumper wingtips, a genuine GM working spotlight, fog lamps, blinkers, working original radio, heater, 2nd taillight and even a fully functional radio with the original antenna.
All of the original glass is dated 1947. Original, color keyed gas cap, outstanding original vinyl top, even the rare sliding side window clips and rear hatch handles are there and in perfect working order! Also includes the original toolkit, bag and tire jack, as well as the original hubcaps which are in great shape. All wood is totally solid with tight joints.
This is a Pennsylvania vehicle, the car now resides in California and these yellow and black California plates are available upon request. The paint code 355 was only used on the Woody.
