We have a beautiful rare 1940 LaSalle Special Convertible Coupe Model 52 for sale. This was the 1st year of the Torpedo Body style and the last year for LaSalle as a product of Cadillac.

The Series 52 Torpedo was known for its outstanding bodystyle, 45-degree sloped windshield, curved rear windows with no beltline, and rounder and smoother body and trunk. It is powered by a 322 cubic-inch V8 engine with a column-shift three-speed manual gearbox.

The current owner has lovingly cared for this LaSalle Series 52 4-Door Deluxe Torpedo for the past 7 years, this LaSalle was restored by the same owner with over 25K spent on a frame-on restoration. It started with a complete car which was purchased from the first owners, an elderly couple.

At the time of the restoration the car was rust free and complete - a very solid basis for this beautiful restoration. It has been painted a correct LaSalle color called Corlear Blue, and originally was Long Key Green.
