Very nice 2006 Aston Martin DB9 V12 Volante Convertible for sale. Finished in Onyx Black with beautiful Obsidian Black interior and sold with 3 sets of keys and books. Over $58,000 just spent making it as close to new as possible, this is the story.

The new, second owner lost his previous and much-loved DB9 in the horrific Sonoma County fires in October of 2017. This car was purchased as its replacement from Los Angeles in 2018 and driven back to Sonoma County. Interestingly, it was originally owned by a well-known movie producer.

No big deal but what was ironic was that the second owner didn't know this until later, only after he had named the car "Dolores" who happened to be the name of the wife of the first owner.

More odd was that he said he had never named a car before in his life! Anyway, I digress, it was taken to high-end British specialists, British European Motors in Cotati where they were instructed to address absolutely everything they could find on the car no matter the size or importance and to only use Aston Martin parts regardless of cost.

After several months and $58,000 spent, the car was completed yet now a new turn of events has made this incredible DB9 available for purchase.

The powerful 5.9L V12 starts runs like a clock and this DB9 drives beautifully. Shifting is spot-on, the suspension is excellent and with new brakes and tires all around, handling and stopping are accurate and precise. It has brand new wheels, new tires, new front, and rear brakes, new plugs, and coils. Much more has been done, way too much to list.

The Onyx black paint, body and trim look fantastic, the car looks to have been kept indoors, detailed and pampered.

The interior is clean and tidy. The hydes are in beautiful condition. The car recently had the wood replaced along with leather dash panels so it really is nice and fresh. The finish in the boot is tidy as well.

The Carfax shows that it has previously incurred front damage. Though we cannot know unequivocally, our inspection, as well as British European Motors, leads us to believe it was most likely typical lower valance damage, a fairly common occurrence with a new owner not used to the extremely low clearances that result in those expensive, pesky bumper skin replacements.
