1976 Triumph TR6 for Sale in British Racing Green

Attractive 1976 Triumph TR6 for sale. Sold new at British Leyland Motor Inc in Portland, Oregon, refinished in its classic original British Racing Green with a tan interior and cloth black soft-top and equipped with Michelin Redband Tires, Laminated Windscreen, and Tonneau Cover.

Built on July 12th of 1976, eight days and 118 cars before the final TR6 rolled off the production line. Includes the original owner's handbook, British Motor Heritage Certificate, and receipts showing over $30k spent in just the last 5 years and a couple of thousand miles along with a clean, California title.

The rebuilt numbers match 2.5-litre straight-6 starts and runs strong with plenty of power with about 10k miles. We are told the output is increased to around 125BHP (from its original 105BHP) by the addition of twin Stromberg 175 carburetors, Pertronix ignition, and a Pacesetter high-flowing exhaust system including manifolds.

It has excellent oil pressure and a great-sounding stainless steel exhaust system. Its rebuilt 4-speed all-synchromesh manual transmission shifts smoothly and easily. It has newer brakes and newer springs and coils for excellent handling. It comes with fresh oil, new plugs, rebuilt carburetors, and a rebuilt differential. Cooling is excellent with a newer aluminum radiator and electric fan. This is a great running and performing TR6 ready to take anywhere.

The British Racing Green finish is smooth and shiny and shows well along with the trim, chrome, lenses, and glass. It rides on classic stock rims wrapped in proper American Classic Redline tires. It has a nice, new Robbins cloth soft top, a new full tonneau cover, and a set of Lucas PL headlamps. This is a very nice, rust-free west coast TR6 that presents nicely.

The cockpit is comfortable and tidy with a newer interior, comfortable seating, and a clean flat-cut walnut veneer dash with clear, working gauges and switches. It has newer black carpeting with classic Coco mats, seatbelts, and an alloy/wooden steering wheel. The stereo is a Retrosound system with AM/FM for proper fitment that sounds nice. Overall this is a very comfortable TR6 for even the longest drives.
