Attractive 1974 Chevrolet Corvette L-82 Convertible for sale with numbers matching L82 350ci motor which we believe to have 86K original miles. We purchased this car from a local enthusiast who brought it from West Virginia a few years ago in a move to Sonoma.
He has been too busy to use so the car has remained garaged since it arrived in the wine country.
The car came to us quite clean and needed very little. We recently replaced the motor and transmission mounts, rebuilt the shifter kit and installed a new top. The car starts; runs and drives really well. The numbers matching L-82 runs beautifully and you can really feel those extra 30 or so horsepower!
The shifting is smooth and easy with the freshly rebuilt shift kit. The tires have probably 90% tread left but are hardened from several years of minimal use. Upon the reserve being met, we will replace prior to delivery (or deduct $600 from the final price for the next owner to do themselves).
This was originally an air conditioned car from the factory though the system was removed at some point. Aside from the clock, all systems work as intended including the headlamp doors, lighting, heater, etc.
The car was repainted several years ago by a prior owner yet still has a brilliant, nice shine and makes a very clean driver-quality car. There are a few imperfections in the paint and it looks that the bumper cover seams were filled as many are in an attempt to achieve that traditional one-piece look of the earlier cars.
The leather seats and interior are quite comfortable and look to be completely original with exception of the rugs. (We fed the leather with Lexol, hence the shine in the photos).
This is a nice opportunity to own a clean driver quality, numbers matching L82 4-Speed car at a very reasonable price. It should provide years of fun and appreciation. And with Spring here, it's time for us all to start cruising once again!
