1974 BMW 3.0 CS

California Car, Blue Plates, Solid

This Fantastic BMW has SOLD
1974 BMW 3.0 CS

Very solid BMW 3.0 CS available. It has barely been driven for the last few years. It was chosen as a good candidate to restore but circumstances have changed and now it needs to go. Much work has already been completed to make it reliable and readily drivable.

The body is in very good shape. It only has rust in front of the right rear wheel and at one point appears to have had minor body work on the front right fender. I have made a slideshow that addresses the critical areas which everyone asks about, it shows the solid firewall, rockers and floors.

I have included pictures behind the glovebox and fusebox doors as well. This is a California car since new. In the last 1000 miles (mostly in 2003), over $8,000 was spent on mechanicals.

This car is sold needing paint and a few other odds and ends sorted out but should be a terrific car with a minimal amount of effort. When we took the photos, the car had not been started in about 2-3 years. At the time that it was parked, the owner had just spent about $10,000 on the car.

We installed a fresh battery and the car immediately started up. It sounds very good and runs nicely. The car easily moved through all of the gears, has plenty of strong and steady power and the handling is tight; the car does not rattle or bounce at all. It has a very nice feeling ride. The car has lots of power.

Clock, A/C and fan not turning on. Wipers, rear windows, horn sunroof switch and reverse lights are inoperable. Needs a new hazard light switch.

Thank you for visiting!
