Very desirable, investment quality 1971 Karmann Ghia Convertible for sale. West Coast car that is rust-free and still sporting it's original paint. I had a small amount of touch-up done due to road chips and a few scratches.
This included freshening up the engine bay. Filler-free rockers, all original sheet metal and floor pans and appears to be accident free all around. The paint is nice and shiny, chrome original yet still looking good. Good glass and stainless. Nose has never been hit as shown in the photos.
The floors are still in great shape along with the sills, wheel wells and valances. Has a newer cloth top, excellent, original headliner and good rear window.
Interior also in good condition. The seats appear to be original. Door panels replaced. Good carpets. Excellent dash, original Sapphire radio installed yet bypassed to accommodate modern stereo in the glove-box. Very comfortable to drive, in excellent working order.
The 1600 was rebuilt 10K miles ago to a 1776 and performs beautifully. Quality upgrades include nicely tuned dual carburetors and front anti-sway bar for better handling. Good brakes, tight suspension make for a tight, comfortable, quick and responsive fun car to drive.
It's nice to find one that is rust-free, still wearing it's original paint. Difficult to find at any price in this original, unmolested condition. This is one well preserved Ghia.
