We have a classic 1969 Chevy Camaro for sale that will bring you back to those free wheelin' days in '69. What is it about the classic Camaro that even today whispers in your ear "I need to have this car"?
Is it the rounded hips over the rear wheels or maybe the sloping hood that struggles to contain the power lurking beneath, or just the simple fact that everyone looks at it with envy as it goes by? If you are looking for just the right Camaro to own and enjoy, this is IT!
This 1969 Chevrolet Camaro Convertible, with original California black plates and a rebuilt 327 CID motor has been owned by one family since new (only two owners!) It has been given a lot of love and treated well throughout the years (always stored indoors).
The list of replacements and upgrades that have been done to this car is so long, it is evident that this car has been well cared for, and will run reliably for many years! It is rare to find a ’69 Camaro Convertible such as this.
The Camaro is a tremendous driver. It’s an original California car that has spent the majority of its life at the mature owners’ vacation home in Palm Springs. What this means to you is: this car has not been abused, It's been stored and used in a dry climate (no rust of any significance) and has been used very little.
In fact, the average use of this car is less than 4300 miles per year since new. It’s quite original, except the motor was replaced (numbers not matched).
The body has a few minor imperfections which can be seen in the detail photos. The present owners’ Aunt (the first owner) had a tussle with a garbage can (back when garbage cans were made of strong metal) and the body work performed was not of the best quality. However, this car is NOT a restoration. This is as the car has been maintained through the years, as a fun weekend car.
The present owner has replaced parts that have shown normal wear, as needed, including: the power convertible top, pedal pads, dash cap, brakes, suspension bushings, Billet aluminum pulleys, etc.
The odometer reads 69,520 miles and has rolled over once. However, the rebuilt motor was recently compression tested to confirm this motor is very strong. The transmission is a Turbo 350, rebuilt a few years ago, 3 speed auto on the column. The present owner wanted to convert from the column shifter to the console shifter and has added the gear indicator blanking plate (on the dash) to facilitate that upgrade.
