A rare find indeed is this 1968 Mercedes-Benz 280SL Convertible Pagoda for sale. Purchased brand new in 1968 as a European delivery with photographs of the father and daughter taking delivery at the Mercedes-Benz factory in Sindelfingin near Stuttgart.
This San Francisco car has enjoyed an easy life having been properly stored and maintained throughout it's 46 year life. Factory options include (420) Automatic Transmission, (422) Power Steering, (515) Becker Europa AM-FM radio, (531) Automatic Antenna, (600) Chrome Roof Ornaments, (598) Tinted Glass, (256) Limited Slip Differential and most rare of all, the (289) Ski Rack.
Starts; runs and drives beautifully with plenty of power. Recent brake work, new fluids and tuneup. Starts effortlessly and performs well. Still has it's original, numbers matching engine which runs smoothly and cool.
Interior magnificently preserved from the wood, chrome, panels, rugs and seating. All gauges (with exception of the clock) in proper working order. Factory authorized Mercedes-Benz Frigiking Air Conditioning in place yet currently inoperable. Includes both tops, hard and soft with the original cloth top ready for replacement.
