Take a look at this fully restored 1967 Lotus Cortina for sale. This factory-built Cortina has called the Bay Area home since new and has been under the same ownership since the 1980s. It still wears its blue California personalized license plates.
The current owner purchased the car in 1988 from Freedom, CA near Capitola. It has only covered 2500 miles since. A complete restoration was completed in 2017.
The car has covered a little under 400 miles since completion. The paint and interior look as new. All chrome and trim have been show-plated and any external trim that could be replaced was upgraded to stainless. The motor was rebuilt once in 1988 and again by local Ferrari expert, Dino Motors who finished it in 2017.
It currently has under 400 miles since rebuild. Dino also rebuilt the gearbox. The entire suspension was disassembled and refreshed as well as brakes, all rubber lines, and bushings. The differential has been upgraded to a Salisbury type with a 3.70:1 gear ratio. The owner has added a spare wheel/tire and tool kit.
This is a very rare car, being LHD from the factory and never raced. There are not too many left with this history.
Sale includes a history file with documentation of the car's history since the 80s including restoration receipts, photos, older registration cards and a bill of sale.
