We have a nice old 1967 Ford Mustang Convertible for sale. It was purchased on January 3rd of 1967 by Mary Miller of Sacramento, California. She owned the car until selling it to its second owner here in the Sonoma wine country in February of 1989.
It's most recent owner has enjoyed the car over the last twenty years as a second car reserved for weekend fun. Otherwise it has been garage kept. She changed the color from its original Springtime Yellow several years ago. The car still has its original white top and as you might imagine is ready to be replaced.
A few years back she replaced the carpet. Otherwise this Pony is very original and un-restored. It drives great and could be enjoyed as-is. However, if you are looking for a great car to restore, getting a rust-free, black plate California car with just two owners, a factory 289 and 3-speed convertible is an excellent, ideal Mustang convertible to start with.
These 67-68 models have been undervalued for years and are actually in much shorter supply than the 64 1/2-66 Mustang Convertible. For this reason, many collectors agree that this particular pony is poised to jump in value in the coming few years. This one has been in inland California since purchased new at Downtown Motors in Sacramento. Car sports the 289 V8 and factory 3-speed manual transmission.
Starts; runs and drives nicely. Recent tune up, hoses and brake job. No rust, no known accidents, solid floors, good tires and a strong motor. Clutch feels fine also. Miles believed to be original having turned once.
This is a car that you could drive right now as it is and a great, honest car to consider for a complete restoration. Owner rarely has driven over the last 10 years and has decided that it was time to find this classic Mustang C-Code Convertible a new home.
Like all old classics, this car has a few items that the new owner may wish to address. The trunk needs to be propped to stay open, the right rear window needs assistance going down, and the stock radio is missing.
(If we find prior to the sale we will include). Otherwise, lights, blinkers, wipers, etc. all work and function well.
