Nicely preserved, original 1967 Ford Mustang Coupe for sale. This 1-family owned well preserved California car was purchased new at Curt Carter Ford in Martinez, California November 11th, 1966.
It was delivered new in its Springtime Yellow paint with black vinyl top, 289 cubic inch V8, and C4 transmission and still retains its original black and gold California license plates and both dealer license plate frames, data plate, owner's manual, finance agreements, and some records.
The original 289 V8 starts easily, burns clean, and runs smoothly with plenty of power. The C4 automatic transmission shifts through the gears seamlessly and the car handles well with excellent braking. The family has kept it in good working order making it very nice to drive.
The exterior still wears its original Springtime Yellow paint with a good shine and a nice overall look. The top is showing some degradation but a new, pre-cut reproduction is included should its new owner wish to replace it.
There are some flaws as should be expected after 56 years yet overall looks good. The original standard steel wheels have been replaced with these GT wheels. If the new owner would prefer to switch them back to the original we do have the hubcaps. The chrome and trim have held up nicely as well and overall the exterior looks nice. The undercarriage is all original with no rust or issues.
Inside is tidy and comfortable with all accessories and gauges in good working order including remote mirror, horn, blinkers, heater fan, 2-speed wipers, and original AM radio. The headliner and visors, door cards, rugs, and upholstery are all original and in phenomenal shape though we did have a split seam on the driver's seat bottom repaired instead of replacing it in order to preserve its originality. At some point, a manual choke was installed under the dash though the car starts easily and I haven't needed to use it. Overall it is very comfortable for even long cruises.
