Restored 1967 Ford Fairlane 500 XL Coupe for Sale

Very tidy, professionally restored 1967 Ford Fairlane 500 XL Hardtop Coupe for sale. Delivered new in the Los Angeles region and finished in Medium Gold Metalic with Gold Trim, a 289ci V8, C4 Automatic transmission, and a 3.10:1 ratio rear end. Restored by its previous owner and purchased by its current owner in 2017 who has driven it lightly taking excellent care of it while adding some nice upgrades.

Under the hood in a beautifully detailed engine bay, this special Fairlane features a powerful 302ci V8 that starts idles and runs powerfully with headers, GT40 heads, a new Holley 670 CFM carburetor with electronic choke, Powerfire distributor with vacuum advance, Ford Motorsport aluminum valve covers.

It runs nice and cool on even the hottest summer days with a Be Cool aluminum radiator and was serviced 200 miles ago, including new oil, coolant, transmission pan, and pinion flange seals. The C4 automatic transmission shifts spot-on, and handling is tight and precise, with excellent suspension, air shocks at the rear, rack, and pinion steering. A new power front disc brake kit was installed for exceptional stopping power, making this an amazingly nice performing Fairlane!

The interior has been beautifully restored and features stunning, factory-style seating, door panels, cards, two-tone vinyl seating with perforated inserts, proper loop carpeting with matching custom floor mats, correctly textured headliner, factory seatbelts, and proper, restored factory steering wheel.

It is comfortable and easy to drive with power steering and brakes, an ice-cold Gen 2 Vintage air conditioning system with controls neatly installed in the glove box, and a great-sounding RetroSound Redondo Stereo with USB, Bluetooth, and new Pioneer coaxial speakers. Extra gauges have been installed: an Autogage column-mounted RPM gauge along with voltage, oil pressure, and water temperature under the dash.

The trunk is equally tidy, with a newer rubber mat and a spare tire with a proper lug wrench and jack. This well-restored interior makes this Fairlane enjoyable to be in on even the most extended drives.

Outside is tidy, straight and shows well wearing its factory colors with good trim, glass, lenses and rubber. The car rides on a great-looking, restored set of chromed rally wheels with the red center cap wrapped in an older set of P235/60-14 raised white lettered Tempra G/T Radials with plenty of tread. All in all it is an attractive Fairlane that turns heads wherever you take it!
