Very attractive and nicely restored 1966 Ford Mustang Convertible for sale. This California car was restored around 8-10 years ago, lightly used since properly stored, and still looks fresh. It left the plant in April of 1966, Finished in this same Springtime Yellow with a black vinyl interior, and equipped with 200ci inline 6-cylinder, C4 automatic, and power steering. It is in excellent working condition all around and ready to enjoy.
The body was nicely refinished in Springtime yellow, and it looks that the exterior trim, rubber, lenses, and bits were either restored or replaced at that time. The body is straight with no evidence of previous damage or rust. The power top operates smoothly, going up and down easily. It is an attractive classic Mustang finished in an iconic color and shows beautifully. It rides on a nice set of Hankook Optimo White Walls with easily 95% tread life left.
The interior of this pretty old Mustang is in beautiful condition and appears to have been mostly restored. The chrome sparkles, the steering wheel is in beautiful shape with no cracks, the seating is nice and comfortable, and the carpets and panels look fantastic.
The gauges are clear and all in working order, along with every single accessory in the car. The heater works perfectly; the wipers, lights, power top, radio, horn, lights, and even the cigarette lighter works. All of the windows roll up and down easily, and the top goes up and down quickly and latches with ease. It is very comfortable to be in.
The trunk is in beautiful shape and includes the jack and spare tire and the proper mat, tire cover, and jack bag. Under the mat, the paint is in beautiful condition and looks to have been repainted at the time of restoration. It includes what was at the time an aftermarket dealer option, a removable luggage rack that is easily installed using four wing nuts and four bolts from underneath the decklid.
The car starts runs and idles nicely. The brakes, suspension, steering all function as designed. Most everything under the hood looks to have been rebuilt or replaced at the time of the restoration. The car tracks straight and corners well. On this hot day of shooting photos, it never got past the halfway mark on the temperature gauge.
All in all, it's a wonderful running car that has been gone through extensively and should provide good reliability for its next new owner.
