This 1966 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray for sale is a California car built on August 16, 1966, at the St. Louis, Missouri, plant as the 19,370th Corvette of the model year, it left the factory finished in Nassau Blue with a standard black vinyl interior. Under current ownership, the car was repainted white and the interior replaced with tan. It has been driven approximately 10,000 miles during this 20-year ownership.
Under the hood, this Stingray boasts a non-original 350ci small-block crate engine, producing over 400 horsepower. Paired with an automatic transmission, it offers smooth and responsive performance. The car features electronic ignition for reliable starts, along with power steering and power brakes for enhanced drivability. Built 20 years ago, this Corvette has been meticulously maintained, with all factory gauges operational, except for the clock, which is currently inoperable.
The exterior, now finished in a non-original white, is in good condition with a clean, glossy appearance. It rides on a retro set of turbine-style Keystone alloy wheels, wrapped in older Uniroyal Tigerpaw 215/65R15 tires with over 80% tread remaining.
The glass is in good condition, and the chrome trim complements the car's aesthetic, though some minor imperfections, as expected for a vehicle of this vintage. **Please note, there are no headlamp door motors installed.**
Inside, the tan interior, replaced under current ownership, remains in good shape, offering a comfortable and refreshed driving experience. The cabin features a working retro 1980s Denon cassette setup paired with Altec Lansing speakers, delivering a nostalgic audio experience. While the factory gauges function well (except for the non-working clock), the instrumentation lights are currently inoperable.
The interior is equipped with standard Corvette comforts for 1966, with no air conditioning, keeping the focus on the raw driving experience. All switches and controls are in place, with minor wear consistent with the car's age and use.
