This 1965 Triumph Herald 1200 for Sale is Ready for Fun!
Very fun little 1965 Triumph Herald 1200 convertible for sale. This cool Herald was with the same owner over 50 years from 1968 until 2019. Though undocumented, we were told that the 63,780 miles showing are original. It spent most of its life in the San Diego area with the last decade or so in Oxnard, California.
It was off the road and stored between 2011-2019 and was recently refreshed and is running and driving great! You will see a few shots of my Border Collie Magoo as we have been out and about enjoying this super fun Herald!
The exterior is super original looking with one, old respray that appears to have been done a very long time ago. It has its share of chips, nicks, and scratches but shines up and gets a lot of thumbs up regardless of its obvious patina. The body is straight and the alignments are good. There are no rusty areas on the car.
The undercarriage is super straight, solid, and rust-free as well. The top is aged but it is not torn, fits well though the rear plastic window is cloudy. Unfortunately, the "1200" emblem was cracked but we will attempt to reattach or order another if it becomes available. Same with drivers side flags badge. The wheels are wrapped in a fresh set of 155 80 R-13 tires all around and look good.
Inside it is quite nice. The seats were redone at some point in black with red piping, it has nice carpeting throughout and a clean dashboard with nice wood. The door panels and visors look good. It's quite comfortable inside.
The 1200cc engine starts runs and drives well with a rebuilt single Solex carburetor, new generator, newer battery and new brake cylinders and rear shoes.
This is a fun little entry-level classic that won't break the bank and provide much-needed fun! Has a current, clear, transferable California title. Contact Donn with questions and shipping options.
