V8, Rally-Pac California Car

Cool Rally-Pac 1965 Ford Mustang Convertible for Sale

Fun 1965 Ford Mustang Convertible for sale. This older restoration is finished in red, has a comfortable white interior with red carpets, and a white power convertible top. It's nicely equipped with a 302 cubic inch V8 with headers, Pertronix ignition, Edelbrock four-barrel, dual exhaust, C4 automatic transmission, power steering, and power front disc brakes.

It includes an owner's manual and some records dating back to the 1980s in Long Beach, California, along with $13k in receipts from its current 5+ years of ownership, during which it has logged under 2,000 miles.

The current owner purchased this Mustang in the summer of 2019 from Crevier Classics in Southern California for his father to enjoy during his sunset years in Florida. After a couple of years, it was shipped back to California.

The 302ci V8 starts and runs nicely with plenty of power and sounds healthy. At 33,182 miles, it had a major service, including a Pertronix igniter module kit and coil, a new fuel filter and lines, fluid changes, spark plugs, an idler arm, and a new starter.

The C4 transmission shifts nicely through the gears, and the power steering and brakes work well. Handling is tight with recent suspension work, including new lower control arms, upper ball joints, strut rod bushings, shackle kits, and inner and outer tie rods. The car has 3:25 gears for relaxed highway cruising. Overall, it is a very nice driving Mustang.

The older red paint still has a nice shine, and the trim looks mostly original. The white power top was serviced and is in good working order, nicely aligned, and moves up and down smoothly. The car rides on a stock set of steel wheels wearing stock Mustang hubcaps wrapped in BF Goodrich Radial T/A 205/70 R14's with 90%+ tread remaining. This is a nice driver-quality car with some imperfections and touchups, as shown in the photos.

The inside is comfortable and tidy. It has a very nice factory steering wheel, a clean dash, nice gauges and bezels, and the rare Rally-Pac option with RPM and clock (inoperable). It has an older, non-operational RetroSound radio. Carpets, door panels, and cards look nice and presentable making this Mustang enjoyable for even the longest drives.
