1965 Buick GS Convertible for sale in Sonoma California. Purchased and restored by it's most current California owner nearly 20 years ago.
Garage kept, driven gently and sparingly as a fair-weather car. Restoring the car began shortly after purchasing and included paint, interior & top, engine rebuild, and most all mechanicals. While an older restoration, it was nicely done and has held up well.
We have a large amount of service and maintenance records dating the cars' California life back to 1994. Prior to that it was in it's home state of Maryland in the neighborhood of the original owner.
Included as well are the original books, maintenance/service cards, Purchase Invoice and hand written order sheet.
Only 1,426 automatic convertibles were produced. Delivered March 31st 1965 at Fields Buick in Hyattsville, Maryland to it's first owner nicely equipped from the Factory with Gran Sport Package, Power Steering, Power Brakes, Radio, Belt Re-tractors, Backup Lights, Tinted Glass, 2-Speed Wiper/washers, Remote Mirror, Power Seat and Tilt Steering. Also Convenience Group, Chrome Wheels & Custom Bucket Seats.
The car starts; runs and drives well with plenty of power coming from the rebuilt, numbers matching 325HP Wildcat 445 Nailhead. Shifting is smooth and as intended. Nice suspension, brakes and rear-end. The car is highly functional making it a true pleasure to drive.
