Pink 1964 Volkswagen Beetle Convertible for sale. This vintage bug was built in September of 1963, purchased by the current owner's parents over 40 years ago, and used to cruise around the Napa Valley wine country. It was recently brought out of 20 years of storage, nicely serviced, detailed, and ready for its next chapter.
The engine starts easily, runs strong, and burns clean. It decodes as a 1968/1969 1500cc. It was recently serviced including a new fuel sender, filter and hoses, all 4 wheel cylinders, both front inner and outer front wheel bearings and wheel seals, new front wheel bearings as well as a new battery and new set of tires. The distributor cap, rotor, and points have also been replaced. The car runs strong and reliably.
The outside of the car was painted pink sometime in the 1980's and is holding up well especially considering its age likely because it was stored indoors over the years. The trim, glass, and chrome look to be original and it has an older top. The chrome wheels and caps were installed years ago though the tires are brand new with full tread all around. The body is straight through there is a little bump in the front left fender. The floors have some patching. The nose is clean with no sign of prior damage.
The inside is comfortable and fairly tidy. It has custom fabric door panels, black carpet, and standard VW seat covers. It has an aftermarket steering wheel, original shift knob, working horn, heater and wipers, working speedometer, odometer, and fuel gauge as well as working turn signals with a brand new blinker switch (not shown) from Wolfsburg West just installed.
Overall it is a fun little car, aged and patina'd yet reliable and usable as-is but definitely worthy of restoration at some point. Be sure to check out all 280 photos and the video below.
