1962 Rolls Royce Silver Cloud II for sale, owned by the legendary comedian Jonathan Winters for 40 years. This incredible California celebrity owned example has just under 62k miles and has been beautifully preserved throughout the years.
The original interior has the irreplaceable scent of perfectly aged Connolly leather, Wilton wool rugs; headliner and burl wood. The leather is nicely preserved and supple having never been dyed.
The Wilton wool rugs are immaculate with the front having been covered in it's vintage sheepskin mat. The top wood appears to have been refinished at some point, all of it showing quite well. The accessories are all in working order including the air conditioning system, radio, power antenna, power windows, lighting, gauges, etc.
The body is in gorgeous condition and rust free throughout. The lacquer paint is smooth and glossy and the trim incredibly well preserved with some expected light patina.
The frame and undercarriage is also very solid and clean. The car starts with ease; runs and drives smoothly with plenty of power, nice suspension and braking. It is truly a pleasure to drive. It even includes it's vintage gold California license plates and a framed, autographed photo of Mr. Winters who wrote "I've had this Rolls almost forty years - If you want to feel good - this is the car!"
While this stately, classic Silver Cloud II stands on it's own merits, it's iconic long term celebrity ownership by the legendary comedian Jonathan Winters makes this special Rolls Royce Silver Cloud even better. A perfect addition to your collection.
