1962 Jaguar XKE e-type Roadster. Frame-off restoration completed in 2002. Born February 22 of 1962 in Sherwood Green with a Suede Green interior and French Gray roof. Sold new at Jaguar Cars of New York then shipped to it's first owner in Colorado.
Current owner purchased the car in need of a restoration in 1998. Frame-off, rotisserie restoration completed a couple of thousand miles ago in 2002. Finished in Cream over Red with a black top.
Rebuilt and mechanically sound. Starts; runs and drives well with excellent power, shifting, suspension and brakes. Gauges and external lighting all in working order. Still set up as positive ground though the stereo is isolated and set up as negative ground.
Most accessories in working order though the blinker indicators only work on the left, horn contacts need cleaning (work but poor connection) and the heater fan does not turn on. Washer pump motor not present.
Overall the car looks nice but there are a few, minor scratches that could use attention. This was a nice, nut/bolt restoration thirteen years ago. The car has won awards at local shows including two time 3rd place at the Silverado Concours d'Elegance and Marin Sonoma Concours d'Elegance.
Beautiful 1962 Jaguar e-type OTS looking for an appreciative new owner.
