Cool little 1960 Rambler Custom for sale. Purchased new by its original owner in Decatur, Illinois "Rosie" in her original colors, Festival Rose with Frost White. She was purchased new at Absher Rambler in Marion, Illinois, and includes a plethora of history, records, photos, and receipts along with a clear, California title.
We were told that the 52,588 miles are original and while many aspects of the car suggest that seems feasible, we cannot be sure. It still has its original selling dealer sticker on the trunk!
Rosie the Rambler drives wonderfully. The original 6-cylinder motor starts and runs smoothly with plenty of power. The 3-speed manual transmission shifts easily and the suspension and brakes feel good and it heads down the highway driving straight and tight as designed riding on an excellent set of whitewall radials on its original steel wheels. All in all, it is a very nice driving, user-friendly car.
Outside this little Rambler looks terrific! Its paint has been refreshed. The body is straight and tidy and the trim and glass show nicely. The original wheels and hubcaps with whitewall tires set it off nicely!
The interior is beautiful and looks to be completely stock though a previous owner searched and sourced correct new seat fabric and it looks like the carpets may have been refreshed as well. It has all working gauges and radio. The trunk is very nice and original with no Rot, just some very minor surface rust underneath a new mat at a low spot.. it has a lot of extra parts, extra seating fabric and OEM trim, an American flag, and a plethora of awards.
