1960 MGA 1600 for Sale in Sonoma California

1960 MGA 1600 for sale from Left Coast Classics. Comes from our old friend Ed who has owned and loved this car for around 20 years. He purchased it locally in Orange County and has always kept it garaged in it's Southern California home and in ready-to-use condition.

Ed would not hesitate taking it hundreds of miles from home. Includes many very desirable features including factory front disc brakes and the original 1600 engine that has been rebuilt with 10 over pistons and standard size bearings! The engine was rebuilt in August of 2000 and has gone about 9000 miles since. This was it's first rebuild.

Paint & Interior were done in the late 90's and have about 10k miles of actual use. Has a beautiful quality canvas top which includes a zip-out rear window for improved ventilation, and supple, handsome leather seating. The top and interior from Scarborough Faire really makes the car quite comfortable, especially on those long drives and weekend getaways.

Also includes a nice-fitting tonneau cover and a really good set of aluminum side curtains so the car will seal up tight for some super comfortable driving all year round. The burl dash (fascia) adds a touch of luxury as well.

The car has been fitted with an oil cooler, high efficiency 4-row radiator, custom damascened fan shroud, plus some fire-wall and engine compartment accessories including an aluminum valve cover. Optional fog and driving lights, accessory badge-bar and luggage rack, and an alternator with a negative earth conversion to run modern electronics.

This is an excellent car for road trips and has won many trophies. Please look through all of the photos to appreciate the work that has gone into this MGA. Drives very well. There is a door ding in the drivers door that we have not repaired (looks like it can be removed by a paint-less dent removal expert) and while the chrome on the bumpers looks good, some of the smaller pieces are a bit pitted like the emblems and mirrors.

Also, Ed ran over a silver spray paint can with his Lincoln causing the can to explode. After all was cleaned up, there remains some silver over-spray on the top (you have to know it's there and really look to find it) as well as on the passenger side door cap.

All in all, this is a really well maintained, honest, super solid MGA 1600 roadster with a lot of terrific upgrades that you will be happy to have. Car ships from Orange County, California. Car subject to sale at anytime to the first, best offer.

Thank you for visiting!
