1959 Corvette Convertible
Nice, California Corvette
This Beautiful 1959 Corvette has SOLD
......More Classic C1 Corvettes for Sale Below.....
This 1959 Corvette has been owned by a local dealer since 1996. He has kept it in his inventory to enjoy and has only driven the car about 1100 miles. The engine is a 283ci from a 1964. It has a 4 barrel and a 4-speed transmission.
The frame was replaced 12 years ago due to rust and the replacement frame is straight, solid and rust-free. The car starts; runs and drives beautifully with plenty of power, easy shifting and plenty of acceleration. The brakes feel good as does the suspension. The paint looks great and the canvas top is in nice shape, too. The body panels are clean, line up well and all looks to be in good, solid condition. The chrome looks nice, also.
The gauges are all operational though the fuel gauge is suspect. The radio turns on but does not get reception. The heater switch on the dash does not work. An auxiliary switch has been installed behind the dash and works fine. The clock does not work.
This Vette is not a trailer queen but it is a very nice, great looking and driving 1959 Corvette that is ready to take out and enjoy immediately. It comes with a clear, California title.
