The drivetrain is modern and powerful as they come with its Chevrolet 454 Mark 4 bare block with 4 bolt main bored .030 over nudging it up to 489 Cubic inches and providing more than enough power to get this truck where ever it needs to go quickly. It features a Scat engine rotating assembly with a forged steel crank, forged steel I-beam rods, and forged pistons and balance kit.
It has AFR oval port heads, Crane gold roller rockers, Morel hydraulic roller lifters, and a Clay Smith cam. Ignition is an MSD programmable digital box. It has a Holley Terminator Stealth EFI fuel injection system with transmission control specially designed for engines making 250-600 horsepower and a Holley EFI dual sync distributor. Also includes both crank and cam sensors to support sequential EFI operation along with a Hall Effect sensor for precise timing control.
The EFI system mounts up to an Edelbrock Performer intake manifold and is fed by an under-bed mounted fuel tank with Aeromotive Phantom 340 fuel system. The exhaust sounds great with its Hedman Long tube headers with 2" primary tubes, 4" collectors, and Magnaflow mufflers.
It shifts via a rebuilt GM Hydamatic 4L80-E with upgraded sprags, Sonnax forged forward hub, upgraded clutches, forged FTI Input shaft, stall converter. shift kit, deep sump oil pan with TCI transmission cooler.
Handling is super tight with its Mustang II front suspension and adjustable coil-over shocks and rear TCI Parallel 4-link also with adjustable coil-over shocks. The rear-end is a GM 12-bolt with new Eaton positraction, Yukon 3.73 gearing.
Braking is super responsive with 4-wheel discs, Hydroboost brake system with Wilwood master, aircraft-grade 3/16" Stainless steel brake lines, and 3/8" stainless steel aircraft-grade fuel & return lines. In addition, all electrical systems work flawlessly with a factory fit Classic Update Series wiring kit along with an Optima RedTop battery and Painless remote disconnect.
The paint and body are stunning, all panels were removed and masterfully refinished in BMW Titanium Silver Metallic. All trim, chrome, stainless, lenses, rubber were replaced or restored before reassembly. Any panels that needed work were done correctly to the highest standards or replaced and the lower cab corners are excellent, front and back. The body and paint are smooth as glass and the alignments are spot-on.
The bed wood was beautifully refinished and nicely installed with fuel-filler at the rear center for easy access. It sits on a nice set of retro-style US Mags wrapped in Cooper Cobra GT P215/70R 15's upfront and P295/50R 15's in the rear. The height is perfect for use as a daily driver.
Inside the beautiful matching, the monochromatic interior theme is super well insulated with Dynamat heat shielding & Dynamat sound deadener making it extra quiet and very comfortable with a Vintage Air A/C system. The Custom TMI bench seat is a great fit with excellent ergonomics.
It has a modern Dakota VHX Digital Dash instrument cluster, Ididit tilt column, and a great sounding RetroSound Apache radio with kick panel installed speakers. It also has a modern Raingear 2-speed wiper kit. Shoulder harness seat belts keep it safe and adding to the comfort it has European high-quality plush custom carpet.
This is truly an extremely well-finished interior that is very well thought out and professionally assembled. The owner let some open switch spaces available for anything one might wish to add later. Dummy switches or blanks could easily be installed if the new owner so desired.
