......More Classic Ford Thunderbirds for Sale Below.....
Very cool 1955 Ford Thunderbird for sale. Most recent owner did much restorative work on the car in the last few years and it shows and drives well.
Originally built on May 21st of 1955 in Deerborn and delivered new in Canary Yellow with black and yellow interior equipped with it's 292ci V8 and factory 3-speed manual transmission. Repainted a few years ago and shows well. The body and floors are rust free and the paint has a nice shine to it.
The interior is very clean and looks to be somewhat original including dash, gauges, rear flap and possibly the seating. The carpet was replaced not too long ago. The hardtop seals up nicely and the headliner looks nice. The accessories, lights, wipers, power seat and gauges are in working order. The clock and radio currently are not.
The drivetrain is strong and healthy sounding. The car starts; runs and drives well. Has a new clutch, re-cored radiator, new steering box, waterpump, spin-on oil filter conversion and a rebuilt generator. The exhaust from the mufflers forward is in good shape though the original rear section to the tailpipes will need to be replaced.
Most recent owner is believed to have been the third owner. We are told the car was in California since new. Odometer shows just over 102k miles and though we have no way of knowing for sure, it appears that this is likely the case making it a nice preservation-style Thunderbird.
