1953 Chevrolet 3100 5-Window Pickup for sale. This California truck has been mechanically sorted and features that cool old patina'd look we all love coupled with the mechanical reliability making it ready to enjoy.
The current owner bought it many years ago, traded it to a local for another car to a guy who restored it mechanically, then ended up buying it back again a few years later. This cool old 5-window performs like a champ yet has that great, natural patina that only time can provide.
This old '53 starts runs, shifts, and drives beautifully. It has had over $7,000 in recent mechanical work, including rebuilt engine with new torque tube bushings, bearings and drives shaft, a 6-volt primer fuel pump, and a car ignition switch with the solenoid (starter terminal) terminal activating the primer pump and new aftermarket radiator and hoses. It has a newer exhaust system, rebuilt brakes, and the suspension is in good working order.
Inside is comfortable. It has a rebuilt radio, newer headliner, full working gauges, heater, and horn. A pillar-mounted fog lamp is not hooked up. Otherwise, the truck is completely functional.
The exterior looks to have originally blue. This old yellow finish has a great patina with a kitschy, old-school vibe. It has mostly new glass, windshield gasket, and door felt.
It is equipped with a cool set of aftermarket fog lamps, a beautifully aged grill, a nice set of Firestine LT235/85 R16 tires wrapped on a set of steel wheels with proper Chevrolet hubcaps and trim rings. It has solid lower cab corners and rust-free floors.
This is a great, old Chevy truck ready for its newer owner to enjoy.
