1951 Crosley super station wagon for sale in Tan with red interior, 724 cc four-cylinder 3-speed manual transmission, drum brakes. Original Indiana owner purchased it new as his first car in 1951 during his senior year in high school and sold it in 1957. He tracked the vehicle down and repurchased it again in 1977 as part of his collection.
He drove it throughout the years and had it completely restored between 1996 and 1997. Since then, he drove it occasionally, mainly in parades or shows until 2010. We were told that the mileage of 33k miles are actual though we cannot document it.
The 44 cu in (724 cc) 26.5 HP straight-4 starts and runs well. The braking and suspension feel fine. It gets down the road as quickly as a Crosley can and shifts fine. The original radiator was refurbished, water pump, carburetor, wheel cylinders, brake lines were all rebuilt or replaced with OEM parts. A new 6-volt battery was also installed at the time. All fluids have been replaced in the car drives very well. Everything works except the radio, fuel gauge, and heater fan.
The interior is clean, tidy, and comfortable and looks very nice and presentable. Outside, the paint is shiny, it has a rust-free body, and the trim looks good. The overall look of the car is very nice and presents well.
Be sure to check out the additional photos and all three of the Crosleys we have for sale. The car comes with a clear California title.
