Beautiful 1937 La Salle Series 50 for sale. Introduced in the late fall of 1936, just over 32,000 were produced for 1937. This particular car has been owner/collector owned over the last 19 years, properly stored and maintained, and gently used. It is currently showing 35,279 miles though the actual mileage is unknown. It includes both 1937 California license plates, a shop manual, and various documentation shown along with a clear, California title.
The 322ci L-Head 90° V-8 producing 125 BHP @ 3400 rpm starts, idles & runs smoothly and quietly. The shifting is smooth and easy and braking and suspension are responsive and tight.
The exterior was refinished in classic black, is smooth with a nice shine, the body is straight and rust-free and the trim shows well. The undercarriage is original and rust-free throughout. It rides on a nice set of 16" bias-ply whitewall tires on stock steel wheels with proper trim rings and hubcaps, Fog-King amber fog lamps, aftermarket blinkers, and, a newer set of correct running boards.
Inside is spacious and opulent. A new, correct LeBaron Bonney interior was installed a few years ago with beautiful seating, rugs, panels, and headliner. The dash and interior paint appears to be original and well-preserved. It has a beautiful steering wheel and all working gauges. The clock and wipers are currently inoperable. The trunk has been restored, it is solid and tidy and includes a spare tire.
