A Beautiful Frame Off Restored 1935 Ford 5-Window Coupe for Sale

Very attractive 1935 Ford Model 48 Deluxe 5-Window Rumble Seat Coupe for sale. This special car through various documents and registrations can be traced back to California to the late 1970s through the mid-1990s. We are told that it ended up in a museum in Indiana for many years then was traded into a dealer who then sold it back to California in 2016.

It is a beautiful senior example, extremely nice frame-off restored example finished in lovely classic Taupe with Vermilion Red wheels and striping and proper beige cloth interior.

The legendary 221 cubic inch V8 starts, runs and drives beautifully, is smooth and quiet, and doesn't smoke. The transmission shifts easily through the 3 gears and downshifts nicely. The brakes stop the car swiftly, the suspension feels nice and it runs cool. The tires are aged and really should be replaced for any highway driving. All in all, this is a sound, wonderful driving car.

The exterior looks great, it has a beautiful, straight body. The paint is smooth and attractive, clearly a frame-off restoration to factory or better standards at the time. It is apparent that at the time of the restoration the rubber, trim, chrome, and stainless was refinished or replaced.

The classic Vermilion red steel spokes nicely finished off with trim rings and caps and the complimentary stripe accent. The undercarriage was restored and is very tidy as well.

The stock interior in beautiful condition with proper rubber mat, headliner, panels, cards, and finishing pieces. The glovebox is tidy and finished as well. The lights are in working order, it has working aftermarket blinkers, a working in-dash original tube radio with overhead speaker, working speedometer and odometer, and amperage gauge.

The fuel gauge does not appear to be working. If it is, it's very difficult to read. The horn is also in working condition. It has a nice patin'd old shift knob which adds a nice touch. The rumble seat is beautifully finished as well and the rear window goes up and down with ease.
