Fun little 1930 Bentley Volkswagen Replica Convertible for sale. Likely built in the 1960's using a body built by Antique & Classic, Inc. of Buffalo, New York and Installed on a 1963 VW pan.
The car starts; runs and drives well. This was a Southern California car and when purchased it was sent to a VW mechanic in Marin County that went through the car and made it road-ready. It appears to have an early, period-correct engine making it a single port. It has 19" steel wheels with plenty of tread and although aged, suitable for around-town use.
The body is straight and accident-free, it still wears its original gel-coat. It has a cool patina all-around being a vintage replica. The full top needs to be replaced. It's a very simple setup so creating a template should be a simple job. Otherwise, it looks good and gets plenty of smiles and attention. The floors are solid.
The seating and panels are all intact and look good and the dash has a cool patina to it. The gauges are in working order with exception of the RPM & temp gauges. The car is equipped with an "Ooh-Gah" horn activated on the center of the steering wheel. The blinkers currently are not working but we'll take a look at that.
This one may not rise to the level of Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, I do think its safe to say that Mr. Magoo would be delighted to own it! Clear, California title in hand, ready to enjoy!
