From one of our seasoned collector/builder friends here in Northern California, we have a very tidy and nice Ford Model T Pickup Truck finished in Maroon over Black and in tip-top shape.
This special Model T truck was frame-off restored in 2008 and has only been driven 200 miles since. It was originally re-created as a truck in the 1950's by its previous owner in San Jose using a 1919 Touring car. It was treated to new paint, interior, top with roll-down window, refinished trim and a fabulous speedster-style rebuilt engine from 1924 T that has been modified with 1 5/8 inch intake valves, adjustable lifters, re-ground cam, lightened flywheel and aluminum pistons. The car is equipped with a battery, electric starter and generator. It can be started easily from inside of the car or the old-fashioned way, at the crank. It is extremely peppy and runs beautifully! As we understand it, this has been a California Model T from the beginning. A very cool and unusual Model T Pick-up Truck indeed!
