1973 Stutz Blackhawk for Sale from Left Coast Classics in Sonoma California. Delivered new from Jules Meyers in West Los Angeles. The very first Blackhawk sold was purchased by Elvis Presley on October 9, 1970 for US $26,500. It is said Elvis' favorite car was his 1973 Stutz Blackhawk.

This 50,000 mile car appears to have been nicely looked after. Car starts; runs and drives nicely with plenty of power, excellent oil pressure, quiet engine and exhaust. Suspension and brakes feel good as well.

This Stutz appears to have been resprayed at some point in it's original color. Clean, rust free body with good original chrome, stainless trim and glass. Mostly original interior with new carpet & dyed leather. Gold trim and wood look good. Most options work as intended except air does not blow cold and the sunroof needs repair.

The Stutz Blackhawk had many famous owners, most notably Dick Martin, Lucille Ball, Sammy Davis Jr., Dean Martin, Robert Goulet, Evel Knievel, Wilson Pickett, Johnny Cash, Larry Holmes, Jerry Lewis, Liberace, Willie Nelson, Isaac Hayes, Muhammed Ali, George Foreman, Kenny Rogers, Tom Jones, Billy Joel, Erik Estrada, Elton John, Paul McCartney, Al Pacino, Barry White, Wayne Newton, The Shah of Iran and others.

Each car included a dash plaque naming its original owner. The mystery of this car is that the dash plaque is missing.....

This Virgil Exner designed luxury car was known for its Italian built body, upholstery made of the finest European leather, carpeting was either ermine, mink or Australian lambs wool. Its interior is finished with paneling of matched English burls and California Redwood. Its dashboard with 24 karat gold molding and instrument panel bezels.

With total production numbers topping out at 500 and only a fraction of the cars built known to still exist, this might prove to be a great opportunity. If the provenance of a celebrity owner can be established by doing some research, even better.
