This SP250 was bought new by its first owner, in Wisconsin. A year later, with less than 10,000 miles, the family put it in storage in a locked garage. 38 years later, in 1989, a family member and car enthusiast unlocked the garage and found the car. It had not moved in that time.

The Daimler Dart was given a full, body-off, photo-documented rotisserie restoration. Over $50,000 (in late 1980's dollars) was spent. The car was brought back to better-than-new condition.

The color was changed to one that was a favorite of the restorer, and the wire wheels were powder coated. But otherwise every original detail was maintained. Some key elements - the seats and dash, for example - are original, and present virtually as-new. The restoration has shown little to no deterioration.

This SP now has 11,270 original miles on the odometer. That is mileage since new in 1960. So this may be the lowest (certainly one of the lowest) mileage SP250's in the entire world.

The car comes with a treasure trove of documentation - a full history. Including: the original dealer invoice and window sticker, original registration tags, original warranty, a full photo notebook of the restoration, from the moment that the garage door was opened in 1989.
