We have a beautiful 1936 Desoto Airflow III for sale. Current owner 15 years; was freshly restored by Airflow expert Clarence Ham from Youngstown, Ohio when he purchased the car at Hershey, Pennsylvania. Flush with beautiful art deco styling, this Airflow has been restored to original factory specifications and only driven about a thousand miles since. Finished in Harvard Maroon with comfortable interior featuring Bedford wool cord upholstery. Rebuilt 6-cylinder with L-Head 100 horsepower stock motor with new cam bushings, pistons and wrist pin. Head is also new. It is cast iron and milled .005, it has a new timing chain and sprocked gears.
The crankshaft is also new and it has a rebuilt water pump. Equipped with a 3-speed overdrive manual transmission and 4:33:1 ratio rear end. New front brake cylinders, rebuilt master cylinder and carburetor as well. The car cruises comfortably at 60mph and gets surprisingly excellent gas mileage at 18-22mpg. It is quiet and smooth as the Airflow was famous for.
This 1936 Desoto Airflow Model S2 has been properly stored, lightly used and well maintained. It is turn-key and ready to enjoy now.
